The editorial team and the managerial function of the journal.
The managerial function of the journal will be shared by the following persons and organs:
This is the person at the helm of the editorial team, who provides strategic direction for the journal. The Chief Editor oversees all managerial aspects of the journal, including final decisions regarding the acceptance and rejection of the submissions for publication. The Chief Editor is responsible for the recruitment and assignment of editors and reviewers, and the indexing of the journal in journal databases.
This is a managing editor whose main roles consist in the commissioning of articles; coordinating peer review; and liaising with the authors, external reviewers, and members of the editorial board.
These may be invited from time to time from among international reputable scholars in the field of the journal to edit certain editions of the journal.
The Editorial Board is basically a team of select persons with varied expertise relating to the journal’s domain. The team of active and respectable scholars is carefully constituted to represent the different disciplinary aspects of the journal. The members of the Editorial Board provide peer review, editorial as well as advisory services (e.g. on policy matters, scope of the journal, areas for improvement, hot topics, etc). Manuscript editors, section editors and copy editors are selected from this team.
The Chief Editor, in liaison with the Editorial Board, identifies and invites prominent scholars in the field of the journal to this Board. Among other roles, members of the International Advisory Board members act as ambassadors for the journal, for instance, promoting the journal at relevant international conferences.
