Submissions to the journal

The journal accepts submissions from all areas of scholarship – technology, agriculture, ecology, sociology and anthropology, health, law, economics, literature, political science, religion, name it – that interrogate the nexus between education and development. We welcome submissions that propose education models and pedagogies that engender mindset change towards non-discriminatory development.

Submissions may be made in any of the following forms:

  1. Full-length articles: research papers, literature reviews, conceptual analyses and meta-analyses (3,500-7,000 words)
  2. Synoptic research articles (2,500-4,000 words)
  3. Comments and perspectives (2000-3000)
  4. Book reviews (1,500-2,500 words)
  5. Summaries of conference proceedings (1,500-2,500 words)
  6. Others (key note addresses, highlights on important events, on-going projects, etc) (500-1,500 words)

Special editions may be published addressing a specific theme or carrying a single full-length monograph. The lengths of the submissions in such cases are communicated along with the call.

The procedure for making submissions to the journal is quite simple. Authors can send their articles either via e-mail to the Chief Editor or submit through the online submission system. There are no deadlines for receiving submissions except for special editions. The processing of an article begins as soon as it is received. Quality articles that adhere to the requirements of the Journal are published in the immediate edition. Articles that involve back-and-forth reviews and resubmissions are not guaranteed of which issue to be published in. The authors can always track the progress on their articles on the system.
