KAPATU’s plan is to design and build the Faculty of Health Sciences at Kanawati Health Centre III in Kotido Catholic Diocese.

The strategy is to first upgrade Kanawati Health Centre III into a general hospital and subsequently into a First Class Five-Star Teaching Hospital and build here the necessary infrastructure for the faculty of Health Sciences.

The faculty of Health Sciences at Karamoja Peace and Technology University will provide student – centered; competence -based, and quality training, preparing students to become health care professionals who provide leadership in the provision of transformational health care and in conducting basic and translational research for improvement of human health. Schools to be established under the faculty of health science include the following:

1. School of Nursing and Midwifery.
2. School of Medicine.
3. School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
4. School of Nutrition and Food Technology.
5. School of Public Health.

The programs of the Faculty of Health Science are to be designed to empower students to develop a deep competence for world class patient care and in conducting groundbreaking research that informs patient care practices, public health policy and health care products and technologies. The flagship academic programs to be offered by the faculty of Health Sciences include the following:

4. Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.
