Faculty of Peace and Diplomacy

Faculty of Peace and Diplomacy Karamoja Peace And Technology University.

Faculty Overview

The Faculty of Peace and Diplomacy is one of the cornerstone faculties that are core to the foundational ethos of Karamoja Peace and Technology University (KAPATU). It aims to offer cutting-edge education that will transform Karamoja region as a beacon of peace and stability against the history of communal conflicts and cattle rustling that have crippled development and prosperity of that region.

For decades, the Karamoja region has remained a bedrock of both communal and cross-border insurgency fueled primarily by cattle rustling and the proliferation of arms since independence. The insurgency has perpetuated instability, which has crippled service delivery, security and development efforts in the region.
