He is the Dean of the Faculty of Peace and Diplomacy at Karamoja Peace And Technology University (KAPATU) Project.
Prof. Denis Musinguzi is a prominent academic, leader, and consultant with extensive expertise in governance, peace, and development. He is the Dean of the Faculty of Peace and Diplomacy, and a member of the Task Force for Karamoja Peace and Technology University (KAPATU). Holding a PhD in Governance and Peace Studies from Uganda Martyrs University in collaboration with the University of Manitoba, Canada, funded under the prestigious UPEACE-IDRC PhD Fellowship, he also holds a Master of Arts degree in Ethics and Public Management, Postgraduate Diploma in Education, and Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, all from Makerere University in Uganda.
He has previously served as Senior Lecturer, Dean School of Arts and Social Sciences, and Head of the Department of Governance, Peace and International Studies at Uganda Martyrs University. His extensive teaching and research profile encompasses governance, administration and management, public policy, peacebuilding, post-conflict transformation, and community empowerment. Supported by a strong academic background, Prof. Musinguzi has significantly contributed to shaping policies and fostering peace through his work as an academic and development consultant for local and multinational organizations. His experience as an external examiner for various universities further highlights his deep knowledge of higher education and research across national and international levels. He is fully committed to the pacification, development, and transformation of Karamoja, the Ateker region, and the entire Great Lakes region of Africa.
