She is the Chief Scholarship Officer for the Presidential Education for Peace Scholarship Program for Karamoja (PEPSKA) at Karamoja Peace and Technology University.

Ms. Akolebirungi Bridget serves as a Chief Scholarship Officer in the Directorate of PEPSKA at Karamoja Peace and Technology University.  She is a dynamic and visionary textile technologist and fashion design educator, with over ten years of strong academic and industry experience. She currently serves as a faculty member at Kyambogo University, where she teaches in the Department of Cosmetology and Fashion under the School of Vocational Studies.

She is pursuing a Master of Science in Apparel and Fashion Design at the University of Eldoret, with research focused on innovative and sustainable textiles, particularly in eco-fashion, natural dyeing, and smart fabric finishes for environmental resilience. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Textile and Clothing Technology from Kyambogo University and was trained by prestigious companies, including Fine Spinners Uganda and BAROS Designs. She has also attended Courses, workshops and seminars in Quality Assurance Standards.

As an Educator and Workshop manager, Ms. Bridget has trained over 100 youths and women in Karamoja Sub-region in practical tailoring and machine maintenance, empowering communities through skill-based development and sustainability.

In her new role at KAPATU, Ms. Bridget is committed to establishing equitable and transparent scholarship frameworks, unlocking opportunities for students across Karamoja and the Ateker region. Her leadership combines academic integrity, social impact, and an eco-conscious approach to fashion and education.

She is fluent in English, Runyakitara, Ngakarimojong, Luganda, and Kiswahili. She is also proficient in software skills. Outside of academia, she enjoys organizing scientific events, Singing, Athletics and Handicrafts.
