H.E. Maj Jessica Alupo, the Vice President of Uganda and the Deputy Chancellor of the Karamoja Peace and Technology University (KAPATU) project, delivered a speech welcoming President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to a rally at Lomukura Village, Kotido District. This rally was part of President Museveni’s assessment tour of the Parish Development Model (PDM) in the Karamoja subregion.
Alupo expressed gratitude for Museveni’s visionary leadership and commitment to transforming the Karamoja subregion. She highlighted his acceptance to be the Founding Chancellor of the KAPATU project and his provision of strategic and financial support for the establishment of the university. The KAPATU project is a collaborative initiative involving the Roman Catholic Church, the Catholic Lawyers Society International, and the Government of Uganda.
